DVC points charts (or Disney Vacation Club points charts) are simple charts that let you know how many points are required per night for a stay at different resorts during different times of year.
A key consideration as you think through whether Disney’s Vacation Club is right for you (and whether it’s worth it) is to understand how your DVC points will “spend” or if you’re already a DVC member you may want to plot out where you can spend your points in 2022 and 2023. Either way that’s where DVC points charts come in.
Below is each individual Disney Vacation Club resort points chart. You can use the links above to jump to the corresponding resort – if you’re looking to check out multiple points charts just click your points chart, then hit the back button to jump up to the table of contents with links to each points chart.

DVC Points FAQs
There are a lot of confusing elements surrounding Disney Vacation Club, and how points work may be the single most mystifying piece of the DVC puzzle. Below are a few commonly asked questions / concepts that people frequently find confusing, and some additional information that will hopefully be illuminating for readers.
What is a DVC point?
A DVC point is a representation of value that you can apply to Disney Vacation Club resorts or other DVC experiences.
What is a good price for DVC points?
It depends! You can think about the “price” of DVC points in a few ways:
- How much you pay for points bought direct from DVC. These are the prices you’d pay to become a member. A good price depends a lot on what you’re looking for (our general guide to DVC goes through these in detail).
- How much you could pay via Resale for DVC points (more on this below)
- How much you could pay to “rent” DVC points at a place that allows you to book a stay at a DVC resort for a one-time price.
- Which resorts and times of year are the best “bang for your buck” in booking a DVC stay once you’re already a member.
In this context the last bullet is likely most relevant. There is a lot of good data about the best times to visit Disney – if you’re looking for a good price you’ll want to find one of the slow spots that meets your personal criteria for visiting (do you want to see Christmas decorations? Go to the Boo Bash? Need to map to your kids’ school vacations? Want to get away from crummy winter weather or avoid the hottest months?) and pick a lower-cost resort (from a points perspective). Some of the resorts like Saratoga Springs or Old Key West are really extremely nice resorts that just require a bit different travel planning and will cost you far less in terms of points. If you’re stuck on the idea of staying at the Grand Floridian or the Polynesian but looking to do so for a bit less, you’ll want to find the softer spots in the points charts above that fit your criteria.
As with most things in life when it comes to DVC: it almost always “depends.”
How are DVC points calculated?
Generally the points required for a stay at a resort work similarly to the pricing of the resorts generally: high demand seasons will require high point totals, lower demand seasons lower point totals. Even within a week you’ll see weekends cost more points than week days. You can see the per day points, tally those, and have your points total.
What are DVC points worth?
It depends! The dollar cost of DVC points varies widely based on a few factors:
- Are you buying direct from Disney or resale (resale will be cheaper)?
- Which resort is your “home resort” (the resort where you can book 11 months in advance rather than 7 months in advance)?
- Additional costs such as annual dues, interest (if you’re financing), and when you purchase the points.
Our general DVC guide has the most up to date DVC cost info.
How many DVC points do you get a year?
This depends on your agreement – the minimum to buy in direct is 150 points, but you can buy more (and you can also rent points, or add more points to your agreement down the line).
Do Disney Vacation Club points expire?
What is DVC Resale and how does it impact DVC points?
DVC resale is the resale of a DVC member contract. It is allowed within DVC rules, and it doesn’t impact the number of points you have available. That said, there can be limitations on which resorts (or experiences or Disney subsidiaries) points are eligible to be spent on, and several DVC perks may not apply if you purchase your contract via resale.
What is DVC Rental and how does it impact DVC points?
DVC rental is renting a fixed number of DVC points for a one-off stay. Often times you can get a great DVC room for cheaper than you would pay going direct for a standard Disney room (or you may be able to get a room when everything is otherwise booked).
What’s the difference between DVC points and a traditional timeshare?
A lot of the functionality here is the same as some “timeshare” arrangements, but the points can be spent on a variety of different resorts and experiences. If you’re thinking of a “timeshare” in the sense that you have a specific building you’re able to visit at specific times of year, DVC has somewhat more flexibility, but the ownership stake works similarly in that you have access to a fixed amount of points, certain inventory of places to stay, and your ownership does typically expire after a fixed number of years.
What is the minimum points to buy DVC?
The minimum number of points to buy from DVC is 150 points.
Is 100 DVC points enough?
If you’re buying into DVC no, 100 points is not enough. The minimum number of points is 150.
What does 200 DVC points get you?
What 200 DVC points gets you depends on the time of year and the resort you’re looking to stay at. You can use the points charts in this post to determine what you can get for 200 points, then you just need to check on DVC availability based on what your points can get you.
What does 300 DVC points get you?
What 300 DVC points gets you depends on the time of year and the resort you’re looking to stay at. You can use the points charts in this post to determine what you can get for 300 points.
